Biography
Sophie Crocker is a writer and performance artist based on stolen Songhees, Esquimalt and W̱SÁNEĆ land. She holds a BFA from University of Victoria, has studied at the Banff Centre, and currently works as an editor.
Sophie is a three-time Newfoundland Arts and Letters Award winner, recipient of the W.P. Kinsella Award for fiction, and winner of The New Twenties’ Penny Ante contest. Sophie’s poetry, fiction and book reviews have been published internationally, and her work was included in Best Canadian Poetry 2023. Her first book of poetry, brat, was released from Gordon Hill Press in fall of 2022.
